Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical, networking, surveillance, fire safety, and smart systems. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving abilities, and hands-on experience with both electrical and low-voltage installations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain:
  • CCTV Surveillance Systems (DVR & NVR)
  • Fire Alarm Systems
  • Burglar/Intrusion Alarm Systems
  • Access Control Systems
  • Smart Home and Automation Systems
  • Intercom and Video Door Phone Systems
  • Public Address Systems
  • Structured Cabling Systems
  • Conduct site surveys and technical assessments.
  • Prepare electrical drawings, schematics, and installation documentation.
  • Perform cable routing, sizing, measurement, installation, termination, crimping, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Install and terminate Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, Fiber Optic, Coaxial, and Control Cables.
  • Configure and troubleshoot networking devices, including routers, switches, wireless access points, and NVRs.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of DVR vs NVR systems and their applications.
  • Apply T568A and T568B standards in network cable termination.
  • Perform electrical load calculations and system sizing.
  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and electronic systems.
  • Ensure all installations comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Supervise technicians and oversee project execution where required.
  • Prepare project reports and provide technical support to clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years' hands-on experience in electrical installations, surveillance systems, networking, fire alarm systems, and smart home solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of LV and ELV systems.
  • Experience with structured cabling, cable management, termination, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Experience in electrical load calculation and power distribution systems.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, IP Addressing, VLANs, and PoE.
  • Experience with solar power and inverter installations is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications is an added advantage.

Preferred Certifications

Candidates must possess at least one professional certification in Networking or Security Systems, such as:

  • CCNA
  • CompTIA Network+
  • BICSI Certification
  • Hikvision Certification
  • Dahua Certification
  • Any other recognized Networking or Electronic Security Certification
