Job Position: Finance and Accounts Officer

Job Description

Posts and processes journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recordedUpdates accounts receivable and issue invoicesUpdates accounts payable and performs reconciliationsDaily review of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statementProduces error-free accounting reports and present their resultsAssists with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assignedUpdates financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when neededPetty cash managementEnsures good document managementEnsure monthly statutory employee deduction and remittance Inventory management and controlParticipates in financial standards setting and in forecast processPrepares financial statements and produce budget according to scheduleAssists with tax audits and tax returnsPrepare monthly depreciation schedulePreparation of all accounting schedule Spots errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spendingSupports month-end and year-end close processPerform any other assigned roles.

Qualifications and Experience

B.Sc/HND in Accounting, Economics or FinanceMinimum of 3 years of relevant experience.OND with ATS or ICAN / ACCA Part qualification 

Set Skills:Proven experience as a mid level accountant.Excellent organizing abilities.Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with relevant accounting softwareExcellent written and oral communications skills Knowledge of IFRS and statutory reportingGreat attention to detail.Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen.Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.Analytical and accounting skills.
