Job Description

Creates forecasting models, assessing risk in investments and ensuring all accounting activities comply with regulations. Supervises all financial tasks of company and ensures use of capital and resources beneficially.Forecasting monthly, quarterly and annual resultsConducting risk managementMaintains company’s financial health and increase profitabilityCarries out Expense Management ControlCoordinates annual budget and budgetary controlAllocates resources and manages cash flowsConducts profit and cost analysesDevelops secure procedures to maintain confidential informationEnsures all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulationsConsults board members about funding optionsMaintenance of Asset Registry ScheduleLiaises with External Auditors and other regulatory agenciesDevelops and coordinates the execution of company’s business strategy Recommends cost-reducing solutionsPreparing Management AccountsPreparation and presentation of Financial reports Carries out business performance and variance analysisManages payroll in conjunction with HRAccounts receivable and payable management.

Qualifications and Experience

B.Sc / HND in Accounting, Economics or Finance2 - 4 years of relevant experience as Head of Accounts and FinanceProfessional qualification as ACA or ACCAExperience crafting financial strategies and managing accounting teamsExperience in preparing risk assessment analyses and developing working papers to perform tests of accounting records, internal controls, and accounting systems to ensure compliance with regulations, accounting principles, cost accounting standards, and contract/agreement provisions.

Excellent written and oral communications skills including ability to make presentations.Financial modelling capabilityERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) softwareFinancial reporting proficiencyExpert in IFRS and statutory reportingAnalytical and accounting skillsGood negotiating and conflict resolution skillsStrong understanding of budgets, account reconciliation, taxes etcAbility to sustain interpersonal and professional relationships with internal colleagues Strong planning and time management skillsAbility to problem-solve difficult issuesLeadership Skills.
